Jacqueline O. (Selgrath) Herrity, age 92, formerly of Mahanoy City died Friday at the home of her daughter Jacqueline Humanick and grandson Jacob Humanick in Barnesville, just 10 days shy of her 93rd birthday. Born in New Boston she was the daughter of the late John A. and Anna (Clemson) Selgrath. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Herrity, dear mother of William "Billy" Herrity of Reno Nevada, Kathleen J. Drosey, Pennsburg, the late Betty Ann Sosna and Jacqueline Humanick of Barnesville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren . 1 great great grandson and nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by Den, Florence, Sarah, Anna and Mary. She was a 1942 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School. She was employed with and retired from City Shirt. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City. After retirement, she and her husband traveled across the United States driving to World War II reunions. They spent many winters in Ft. Myers FL their winter home. Jacqueline will be laid to rest on August 17, with her husband of 65 years at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Mahanoy City, PA or the Hillside SPCA, Pottsville, PA. David D.
