Barbara A. Williamson

Barbara A. Williamson, age 95, of Delano, passed away Friday evening at her home. Born in the village of St. Nicholas she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Johns) Gallagher. She was a 1941 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and had been employed by City Shirt. She was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were 2 brothers Robert and William and 5 sisters Katherine Bonkowski, Rose Fenkner, Mary Zaremba, Jean Davidson and Elizabeth Oliver. Survivors include her husband of 70 years Donald T. Williamson Sr., a son Donald T. Williamson Jr. and his wife Gena of Baltimore MD, a daughter Nancy A. Barowsky and her husband David of Frackville, 3 grandchildren Brian Barowsky, Rev. John Williamson and Christina Lackner, 3 great grandchildren Landon, Caleb and Lillian Lackner as well as nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by her grandson the Rev. John Williamson on Friday morning at 11 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Interment will follow at Sky View Memorial Park in Hometown. There will be no calling hours prior.
