Edward G. Goshaney

Mr. Edward G. Goshaney, age 95, of Morea, died Tuesday morning at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville. Born in New Boston he was the son of the late Michael J. & Maria (Hrametz) Goshaney. He was a 1941 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was in the 2nd wave of the invasion of Normandy Beach on D Day. He worked for and retired from General Motors and was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. He was preceded in death by a sister Anne and brothers John, Michael and George. The last member of his immediate family he is survived by nieces Mary Jane and Karen Goshaney, Ann Marie Gallagher and a nephew Mick Goshaney

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Friday morning at 11 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Interment with military honors will follow in Assumption BVM Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning beginning at 10 AM until time of Mass. David D.
