Mr. Frank J. Andruscavage, age 90, of Mahanoy City, died Tuesday at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Shenandoah he was the son of the late Constantine and Elizabeth ( Marcincavage) Andruskiewicz. He was a graduate of the J.W. Cooper High School and also Williamsport Technical Institute. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been employed by the Hammond Coal Company, retired from General Motors and had also worked at the former Ashland State Hospital. He was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City, the former AMVETS in Shenandoah and the United Auto Workers. Preceding him in death were several brothers and sisters Alfred, John, Connie, Julie, Joan, Pauline and Florence and is also now with his grand puppy Cuddles. Survivors include his wife the former Theresa Stocus to whom he was married 60 years on June 1st, two sons Frank Andruscavage and his fiancé Grace Kolvites of Mahanoy City, and Ron and his wife Dianne of Frackville, 3 grandchildren Aaron, Brent and Nikki and step grandchildren Casey, Sara, Kim, Abbie and Lois, nieces and nephews and his grand puppies Chewy and Honey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Saturday morning at 10 AM from Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church. Friends may call at the church on Saturday beginning at 8:30 AM Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Contributions in Frank's name to the Hillside SPCA would be appreciated by the family who would also like to thank Karen and all the staff from Covenant Hospice for their care and compassion.
