Ann K. Gavula Obituary

Ann K. Gavula, age 83, of Pittsburg, died Tuesday evening at Green Ridge Village in Newville, PA.  Born in Wilkes Barre she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Kravitz) Kurach. Ann was a devoted wife and mother and loved children working as a school teacher in the Pittsburgh area for more than 30 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband George and a son Alex.  She is survived by 3 sisters in law Mary Osilka of Mahanoy City and Anna Markey and her husband Bernard of Summit Hill and Jean Gavula of Pottsville, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. James Carroll on Tuesday morning at 11 AM from St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City.  Interment will be in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning beginning at 10 AM.  David D.
