Ann C. McNamara Obituary

Ann C. McNamara, age 99, of Lansford, died Tuesday morning at Maple Shade Meadows in Nesquehoning.  Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late John J. & Ann (Campbell) McCann.  She was a graduate of  Nesquehoning High School and the Hazleton State Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a school nurse for the Panther Valley School District and also owned and operated the Edward J. McNamara Funeral Home formerly in Lansford.  She was a member of  St. Ann's Church formerly of Lansford, P.S.E.A.R. and the Golden Age Club.  She was also a member of the Carbon County Children and Youth Advisory Board and worked as a volunteer nurse at local blood banks.  Preceding her in death were here husband Edward J. McNamara, a brother John J. McCann and sisters Betty Barry, Kathryn Evans and Mary Delahunty.   Survivors include a son James C. McNamara and his wife Dolores of Danville, 2 granddaughters Tara Scrivanich and her husband Lou of Lake Hauto and Anne Motto and her husband Jeffery of Fort Meyers FL and 2 great grandchildren Liam Scrivanich and Corey Motto, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by her nephew Msgr. John B. McCann on Friday morning at 11 AM from St. Francis of Assisi Church in Nesquehoning.  Interment will follow at Sky View Memorial Park in Hometown.  Friends may call at the church on Friday morning beginning at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Ann's name to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.  David D.
