Anna Mae Mellen Obituary

Anna Mae Mellen, age 81, of the village of Vulcan, Mahanoy City, died Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital of Hazleton.  Born in the village of Trenton she was the daughter of the late Alex & Mary Warcholak.  She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was employed with City Shirt, General Cigar and Tung-Sol.  She was of the Protestant faith.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband John S. Mellen in 2007, and 4 brothers Alex, Maxi, Emil and Frank.  Survivors include 2 daughters Ruth Ann Kester and Cheryl May Postupack and her husband Tim all of Tamaqua, 4 grandchildren Richard Dennis Jr., Timothy J. Postupack, Tammy M. Postupack and Robert J. Kester a great grand child  Courtney Ann Postupack and a nephew Jimmy Warcholak.  Private services will be held from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City with the Rev. Robert Adams officiating.  Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  There will not be any calling hours.  Please visit www.jarrettfuneralhome.com for more information.
