Anne Schenk  RN, age 88, of  Mahanoy City, died Monday evening at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Chernock) Petrucka.  Anne was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and also the Ashland State Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked in the local hospitals and also did private duty nursing. She was a member of the former Holy Emmanuel Slovak Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was also of former member of Puritan Chapter 126 OES.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Clyde R. Schenk on April 17, 2012, brothers Russell, Martin, John and Paul Petrucka, and a sister Kathryn Petrucka. Survivors include 1 son Paul of Mahanoy City and his fiancé' Cindy Motsney, a daughter Martina Litwa and her husband Ronald of Roswell, GA, a sister in law Jean Petrucka of Orwigsburg, 2 granddaughters Kim Bleyzgis and Marci Litwa and nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Rite of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Fred T. Crawford of Saturday morning at 11 AM from Christ Lutheran Church , Main and Mahanoy Ave. in Mahanoy City. Interment will be private at Holy Emmanuel Slovak Lutheran Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call and meet with the family on Saturday morning at the church from 10:15 AM until time of service.  David D.
