Bernadine I. "Bernie" Keating, age 86, of Delano, died Wednesday morning at her home.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late John & Lottie (Malinowski) Lesawitch.  She was a graduate of Delano Twp. High School and worked for a time with Bell Telephone in Harrisburg and last worked for and retired from Sony Corporation in Delano.  She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband William T. Keating in 2003 and a sister Patricia Leshko.
Survivors include a daughter Holly Keating of Delano, a son Barry Keating and his wife Michelle also of Delano, 4 brothers John of the village of Trenton,
Francis of Frackville, Ray and his wife Lorraine of Allentown, Tom of Allentown, 2 grandchildren Brad Hauck and Justin Hall, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to her caregivers Michelle Keating, Sheri Leshko, Brenda Scheeler and the staff of Covenant Home Care and Hospice for their wonderful care. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday at 9:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev.  Kevin P. Gallagher at 10 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church.  Interment will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the funeral home of Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM and again on Saturday from 8:30 AM until time of service.  Contributions in Bernie's name to Covenant Home Care and Hospice, 1223 Pottsville Pike, Shoemakersville, PA  19555 would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  David D.
