Bruce P. Harlor

Mr. Bruce P. Harlor, age 66 of Barnesville, died unexpectedly Monday morning upon arrival at St. Luke's Miners Campus in Coaldale.  Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Paul & Helen (Youch) Harlor.  He was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and was a Vietnam Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He had been employed with and retired  from Draper & Yost in Hometown after 40 years of service. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 74 both of Mahanoy City.  Survivors include his wife of 41 years the former Mary Finlan, a daughter Denise Zaremba and her husband Joseph, a son Bryan all of Mahanoy City, a brother Mark and his wife Linda of Danville, 2 grandchildren Jenna and Grayson, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a religious services on Friday evening at 8 PM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  The Rev. Fred T. Crawford will officiate. Interment will be privately held at the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening beginning at 5:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Bruce's name to Christ Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  For more information please visit www.jarrettfuneralhome.com.
