David A. Hillibush Obituary

Mr. David A. Hillibush, age 65, of Mahanoy City, died Sunday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lebanon.  Born in Shenandoah, he was the son of the late Paul & Isabelle (Holland) Hillibush.  He was a 1966 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He also served with the Navy Reserve and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  He was a member of the Humane Fire Company and American Legion Post 74 of Mahanoy City.  He had been employed with Sure Fit and Eagle Brothers both of Allentown and Michael's Distribution of Hazleton. Preceding him in death were a son James and 2 brothers Paul and Thomas.  Survivors include his wife of 24 years the former Diane Ferrizzi, a daughter Diana Kull and her husband Richard of St. Clair, a son Vincent  Ferrizzi and his wife Jessica of Vermont,  a brother Robert and his wife Mary of New Boston 2 sisters Joanne Petritsch and her husband Gary of Delano and Kathy Fidishin and her husband Leonard of Barnesville.
He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Cassandra, Garrett, Steven, Vincenzo and Joshua and a great granddaughter Tarabeth, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a religious service on Thursday morning at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City with the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.
