Deborah M. "Debbie" Karlavage, age 64, of Mahanoy City, died unexpectedly Thursday shortly after arrival at Schuylkill Medical Center in Pottsville.  Born in Pottsville she was the daughter of the late Ronald & Marian (Myers) Bierman.  She was a 1971 graduate of Nativity High School.  She had been employed with Sealy in Delano for more than 40 years and currently worked for Air Products in Hometown.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the former Mahanoy City VFW and was a social member and volunteer worker for Mahanoy City American Legion Post 74.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mahanoy City.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Edward, 2 brothers Ronald and Gary Bierman and 2 sisters Jackie Helterbran and Carol Poslosky.  Survivors include a daughter Lori Weikel and her husband Keith of Mahanoy City, brothers Richard Meyers and his wife Kathy of Schuylkill Haven, Mark Bierman and his wife Doleres, Jeff Bierman and his wife Patrice all of Minersville and Dennis Bierman of Pine Grove, sisters Barbara Walters of Minersville, Jane Kovach and her husband Ted of Cressona Sandra Wilner and her husband Paul of Mahanoy City, and Gene Ann Smitrovich and her husband Bernard of Cottonwood, AZ, her companion Frank Sieck and the absolute loves of her life, her two grandsons Jimmy and Patrick, and many nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to Debbie's funeral on Tuesday morning at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  The Rev.
