Donna M. (Paul) Powanda, age 52, of Frackville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus, Wednesday afternoon in the comfort of her home with her loving husband John at her side. Born in Coaldale she was the daughter of  William L. "Bill" Paul and his wife Jane of Morea who came to visit every day, and the late Geraldine (Thomas) Yeanish.  She was a 1977 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and also attended Luzerne County Community College.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mahanoy City which she loved dearly. Donna was a caring and compassionate person and the last ten years of her life she turned her will over to God, enabling her to help many women and children that struggled with domestic and addiction issues through her work with Gaudenzia Incorporated where she served as a house manager and field technician.  Her good works did not go unnoticed as she would often receive calls of gratitude from those she assisted several years earlier.  Donna battled with 3 forms of cancer for the last several months and never gave up her positive attitude and strong will.  Surviving in addition to her father and husband are a daughter Angelique Spezio, a son Thomas Andrusichen, a sister Lori Wisser, 2 grandchildren Ariel Spezio and Dylan Andrusichen, a niece Jasmine and 2 nephews James and Joseph, a great aunt Kate Leisey,
adopted church mom Louise Jones and neighbors, but more so extended and loving family, Clairann, Kel Kel, and Joseph Reichwein and her cats Smokey and Jazzie.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday at 11 AM from David D.
