Dorothy M. Hartnett, age 77, a current resident of Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center died Tuesday evening at the center.  Dorothy was born, educated and resided most of her life in Philadelphia. She had been employed with the Tasty Baking Company and Fleer's Chewing Gum Factory.  She was of the Catholic Faith. Preceding her in death were her mother Elsie George and her husband James.  Survivors include 3 daughters Joan Hartnett of Philadelphia, Joyce Nork of Shenandoah, Judy Hartnett of Philadelphia, 3 sons James of Virginia, Joseph of Tennessee and John of Philadelphia, a sister Elsie and 2 brothers Walter and Alan, Grandchildren Joseph Francis, Ashley, Danielle, Michael, Joseph Jr., John Jr., Gary, Scott, Andy and Jennifer and 4 great grandchildren, Olivia, Nolan, Kylee and Cianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a religious service to be held on Tuesday at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City with Msgr. Anthony F. Wassel officiating.  Interment will be privately held in Philadelphia.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 AM until time of services.  There will not be any calling hours on Monday evening.
