Florence Kufrovich

Florence Kufrovich, age 86, of Mahanoy City, died Saturday evening at ManorCare in Pottsville where she had resided the past several years.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Enich) Kufrovich.  She was a graduate of St. Cyril & Methodius High School in Danville and received her teaching certificate from Penn State.  Florence worked in the local garment industry and also taught at Mahanoy City Catholic School.  She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Preceding her in death were brothers John, Paul, Joseph, Frank, Stephen and Bernard and sisters Mary Balutis and Agnes Kostelnick.  Survivors include 2 sisters Sophie Kufrovich of Bourbon Indiana and Catherine King of Audobon, PA, nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Saturday morning at 10 AM from Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Interment will be in Assumption BVM Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.
