Mr. George Lahutsky, age 87,  of Barnesville, died Tuesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St. in Pottsville.  Born in Frackville he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Baran) Lahutsky.  He was a 1941 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and also the McCann School of Business.  He was a Navy veteran serving aboard a submarine during World War II.  He had been employed at the Schuylkill County Courthouse, Shen-Penn Stripping and was the owner and operator of AAMCO on the Pottsville -St. Clair Highway from 1965 until retirement in 1991.  He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City where he sang in the church choir, the Desert Aires Barbershopper  Group in Sun City Arizona and locally the Coal Cracker Chorus. He was a member and former secretary of the Greek Catholic Union, and was a former member of the West End Fire and Rescue Company and Mahanoy City Lions Club.  Preceding him in death was his first wife the former Aldona Krasnisky, 2 brothers Peter and Russell and a sister Mary.  Survivors include his wife of 30 years the former Eleanor Siliekus, two daughters Lucille Futyma and her husband August of Mahanoy City, Sheree Bashinsky and her husband Thomas of Barnesville, a son George of Mahanoy City, 2 grandchildren Francis Collins and Lori Bashinsky, and 4 step children Michael  Siliekus, Debra Kershetsky and Donald & Richard Hillman, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren,nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. James Carroll on Friday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.  Interment with military honors will be in Holy Ascension Orthodox Cemetery in Frackville.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM with Parastas at 7:30 PM and on Friday from 8:30 AM until time of Liturgy.  Contributions in George's name to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church or the Coal Cracker Chorus would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  David D.
