George S. Milchick Obituary

Mr. George S. Milchick, age 82, of Locust Valley, Barnesville, died December 2, 2013 at his home. He had been in declining health for the past six months and was under the care of his loving wife and Covenant Care Home Health.  He graduated from Mahanoy City High School and last worked for Operating Engineers as a bulldozer operator.  George was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Airborne Division as a paratrooper.  Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Steve and Anna (Buchani) Milchick.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters Ann Bowman, Mary Milcek and Kathryn Utitus and a brother Steve.  Surviving are his wife Rose (Kachmar) Milchick, a son George and his wife Edythe, a daughter Karen and her husband James Murtin, 4 grandchildren Amanda, Madeline, Nicholas and Elizabeth, 2 great grandchildren Delylah and Jackson and a brother Paul Milchick and his wife Marie.  Private services will be at the convenience of the family.  There will not be any calling hours.  Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.  David D.
