Gerald J. (Jerry) Scheeler, age 63, of Mahanoy City, passed away peacefully Thursday evening at his home with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Barnesville and attended Mahanoy  Area High School.  He worked his whole life as a construction worker for Barletta Construction.  He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Marcella (Tissandie) Scheeler, 2 brothers William at birth and Daniel.  He is survived by his wife the former Mary Kay Downey, 3 daughters Sarah, Marcella and Allison of Mahanoy City, a brother Herbert and his wife Connie of Barnesville, a sister Frances "Sis" Wesner and her companion Steve Sevinsky of Barnesville, a sister in law Claire Scheeler of Quakake and nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday evening from 6 to 8:30 PM at David D.
