Geraldine A. DiCasimirro

Geraldine A. "Gerry"  DiCasimirro, age 91, of New Boston, passed away Wednesday at her home.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Senavites) Joseph Sr.  She was a 1950 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City and the Mother Teresa Sodality.  Preceding her in death were her husband Wassil, brothers John (Jack), George Jr., Donald and a sister Irene Rzeznik.  Survivors include 2 daughters, Donna at home, Mary Lou Yanushefsky and her husband Joseph Jr., of Hazleton, a son Wassil of New Boston, 2 grandchildren Joseph Yanushefsky III and Janelle Chatcavage and her husband Stephen, 2 great grandchildren Lucas and Jameson Chatcavage as well as nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning beginning at 8:30 AM.   Contributions in her name to St. Teresa of Calcutta Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  David D.
