Obituary

Helen L. Capiga, age 93, formerly of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Thursday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community. Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Andy and Mae (Coffman) Sabol. She attended Mahanoy City High School. She had been employed in the shoe department at Boscov's and was also a teachers aid for kindergarten students at N. Palm Beach Elementary School in Florida. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Clarence J. Capiga in 2015 and brothers and sisters John, Joseph, Michael and Andy Sabol, Dorothy Levy, Irene Brown and Elizabeth Roos. Survivors include a son Clarence Capiga and his wife Linda of Shenandoah, 2 daughters Geraldine Barrett and her husband Gordon of Palm Beach Gardens in Florida and Jan Dahlquist of Holland, PA a brother Edward Sabol and his wife Betty, 7 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. The family would like to Thank the staff of Shenandoah Senior Living for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Helen. Services will be announced at a later date by David D.
