Helen J. Wolfgang

Helen J. Wolfgang, age 86, of Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East in Pottsville. Born in Hosensock, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Touchinsky) Slotcavage. She was a 1952 graduate of Frackville High School and had been employed in the local garment factories. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker parish in Frackville and was a volunteer for the Frackville Food Bank. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Lorn K. Wolfgang in 2014 as well as several brothers and sisters. Survivors include 3 sisters Edna Romanick of Beaver Meadows, Jennie Jeffries and Elizabeth Schaar both of Frackville and a brother Richard Slotcavage and his wife Geraldine of South Carolina as well as nieces and nephews. Contributions in Helen's name to St. Joseph the Worker Parish or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital would be appreciated. Relatives and friend are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Brian Miller on Saturday April10, 2017 at 10:30 AM from St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Spring and Line Streets in Frackville. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the church beginning at 9:30 AM until time of Mass.
