Helen D. Moucheron

Helen D. Moucheron, age 98, of 429 W. Market St., Mahanoy City, died Tuesday afternoon at her home.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Elizabeth (Magasko) Chonko.  She attended St. Mary's Slovak School and was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  She had been employed with and retired from City Shirt Factory after 38 years of service.  Preceding her in death were her husband Albert, 3 sisters Margaret Kolibab, Josephine Brady and Mary Yesinsky and one brother Joseph Chonko.  Survivors include 1 son Albert and 2 daughters Joan Sisak and her husband Julius and Carol Fernandez and her husband Manuel all of Mahanoy City, 3 sisters Dorothy Sabbio of New Jersey, Anna Mae Quiggley of Florida, Jean Domalesky of Philadelphia and 1 brother Andrew Chonko of Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great  great grandchild, nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.  There will not be any calling hours on Tuesday evening or at the funeral home.  Mass intentions on Helen's behalf would be appreciated by the family.  David D.
