Mr. James G. "Jim" McKerns, age 65. of Mahanoy City, died Sunday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes Barre.  Born in Coaldale he was the son of the late John & Doris (Schier) McKerns.  He was a graduate of Pottstown High School and was a 20 year Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked as a machinist for NEAPCO of Pottstown.  He was of the Catholic faith.  He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra McKerns in 2011. Survivors include a daughter Kathy McKerns of Mahanoy City, a brother Thomas of Douglassville, 2 grandchildren Paige Sivak and Jason Sivak Jr. also of Mahanoy City, nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Tuesday morning at  10 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  The Rev. Kevin P.
