Mr. James J. McLaughlin, age 82, of Macungie and formerly of Park Place, died Saturday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.  Born in the village of Trenton he was the son of the late James and Anna (Falatovich) McLaughlin. He was a 1947 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He had been employed with and retired from AT&T Technologies in Allentown after 30 years of service.  He was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in  Emmaus.  Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his step father Frank Demko, a son Michael, a sister Catherine Rhoades and a step brother Thomas Demko.  Survivors include his wife of 52 years the former Julia Tambasco, 2 sons Matthew of Bethlehem and Patrick of Ocean City MD, 2 sisters Marie McCabe and her husband Henry, Betty Jones and her husband Bill all of Mahanoy City a step sister Marie Kondisco and her husband John of Mt. Carmel, a granddaughter Kelly Burton, nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Martin F. Kern on Thursday at 11 AM from Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 10 AM until time of Mass.
