Jeanne E. Matz

Jeanne E. Matz, age 98, of Reading and formerly of Delano, passed away Friday.  Born in Delano she was the daughter of the late Warren and Laura (Kistler) Patterson.  She was a graduate of Delano High School and worked as a homemaker.  She was a member of Faith UCC Church in Delano and the ladies guild of the church,  the Mahantango Chapter of the NSDAR.  She was also a member of the Delano Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.  She was preceded in death by her husband Russell, a son John R. Smith and 3 brothers Robert, James and Joseph Patterson.  She is survived by a daughter Susan Erdman and her husband Gerald of Reading and a son James Matz and his wife Frances of Fairport NY, 4 grandchildren Mark and Matthew Erdman, Justin Matz and Jacqueline Patterson, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as nieces and nephews.  Services will be privately held from David D.
