Jerome Stevens Obituary
Mr. Jerome "Jerry" Stevens, age 76, of Barmesville died Saturday morning at the home of his niece in Easton.
Born in Buck Mountain he was the son of the late Patrick and Anna (Warner) Stevens. He was a 1954 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and served with the National Guard. He was a member of St. Richard's Church in Barnesville, the MTA Fish and Game Club and Bears Head Sportsman Association. Jerry worked as a heavy equipment operator for Reading Anthracite. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Richard and Patrick. He is survived by his wife of 32 years the former Patricia Lapinsky, a sister Marie Heiser of Frackville and 2 brothers David of S. Carolina and Daniel and his wife Julie of Vulcan, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Thursday at 10 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Whalen at 10:30 AM in St. Richard's Church. Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and again Thursday morning from 9 AM until time of service.
