Joseph J. Schneider Jr.

Joseph J. Schneider Jr. age 62, of Gilberton, died Wednesday evening at his home.  Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Joseph & Geraldine (Landis) Schneider Sr.  He was a graduate of Philadelphia schools and served with the United States Armed Forces.  He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church of Mahanoy City.  Survivors include his sisters Ida Dambrosia and her husband James of Gilberton, Deborah Diviny and her husband Andy of Philadelphia, Joanne Wetzel and her husband William of Mahanoy Plane, Geraldine Donatelli and her husband Bruce of Florida amd Jeanette Roos and her husband James of Philadelphia and a brother David and his wife Diane also of Philadelphia.  
He was preceded in death by a sister Laverne P. Cahill.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Monday morning at 11  from Blessed Teresa of Caluctta Church.  Interment will be private.  David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.
