Kathleen Procopio Obituary

Kathleen E. "Kathy" Procopio, 84, of Mahanoy City, passed away Wednesday, December 30th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East in Pottsville. Born August 1, 1936 in Mahanoy City to the late Balthazar and Victoria (Becker) Cornelius. She was a 1954 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Kathy and her late husband Joseph Procopio Sr. formerly owned and operated Paesano's Pizza & Hoagie Shop and Paesano’s Buy & Pay Here Auto Sales of Mahanoy City. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two sons, Joseph Jr. and Gary. Survivors include one daughter Gina Werksman of Mahanoy City and family members including Belmont and Marianne Procopio, Sun City, AZ; Charles and Linda Procopio, Jupiter, FL; Concetta & Richard Jansen, Elysburg; Chris Bokunewicz, Shenandoah Heights; Susan Millard, Hazleton; many nieces, nephews & cousins. Kathy was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
