Lillian A. Chesko, age 84, of Mahanoy City, died unexpectedly Friday morning at her home.  Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Leso) Berosh.  A life long resident of Mahanoy City she graduated from Mahanoy City High School in 1946 and had been employed with the former George's Confectionary Store, and the Elks Theater  both in Mahanoy City at one time and last worked for and retired from Eagle Brothers after 37 years of service.  She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church of Mahanoy City and the Blessed Teresa Sodality. Preceding her in death was a son Joseph and 2 sisters Helen Tihansky and Eleanor Bassinger.  Survivors include her husband of 62 years Charles J. Chesko Sr., a son Charles J. Chesko Jr. and his wife Ida of Mahanoy City, a granddaughter Stephanie Schroeder and her husband Daniel of State College and a grandson Christopher Chesko of Mahanoy City, nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be celebrated by Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Thursday morning at 11 AM from Blessed Teresa Calcutta Church.  Interment will be private. There will not be any calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions in Lillian's name to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church would be appreciated by the family.  David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.
