Mary Ellis, age 72, of Frackville and formerly of Mahanoy City died Sunday morning at Golden Living Center -York Terrace of Pottsville.  Born in Park Place she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Drigan) Barnish.  She was a 1959 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by 2 sisters Dorothy Barnish and Leona Scannell and 1 brother Nicholas Barnish.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years John Ellis and a brother Stephen and his wife Mildred of Milton and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Thursday morning at 11 AM from Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church.  Interment will follow at Assumption BVM Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of Mass.  Contributions in Mary's name to York Terrace Activities Department would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  David D.
