Mary H. King

Mary H. King, age 92, of Mahanoy City, died Monday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center South in Pottsville.  Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late John & Annie Selgrath.  She attended Mahanoy Township High School and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City.  She had been employed with Timm's Pharmacy, Guinan's Department Store and Tregellas Shoe Store all formerly in Mahanoy City.   Preceding her in death wrere her husband Thomas N. "Boot" King and 3 sisters Florence Pancenta, Ann Hoehne and Sara Crellin.  Survivors include a daughter Shirley Shoup of St. Clair, a sister Jacqueline Herrity of Mahanoy City,  3 grandchildren Robert "Robbie" King and his fiance' JoAnn Levengood, Joseph Lewis and his wife Eileen all of Mahanoy City, and Rebecca Lewis-Cleary of St. Clair, 7 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Friday at 12 Noon from Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City.  The Rev. Fred T. Crawford will officiate.  Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Friday beginning at 11AM.  Contributions in Mary's name to the Endowment Fund of the Christ Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.  David D.
