Mary C. Lashinsky, age 95, of Mahanoy City, died Wednesday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Frackville.  Born in and a life long resident of Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Frank & Theresa (Schire) Steiff.
She was a 1934 graduate of Mahanoy City High School.  Mary worked in the local garment industry and last as a teachers aid for the Mahanoy Area School District. She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City and the Rosary Society.  Preceding her in death were her husband Joseph in 1970 and 2 sisters Rose Luck and Agnes Steiff.  Survivors include a niece Kathleen Luck of Tamaqua, great nieces and nephews and her dear friend Sister Edna Cylwick OSF with whom she resided.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM from Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City with the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from Noon until time of Mass.
