Michael T. "Cotton" Zelasny, age 53, of Hazleton and formerly of Mahanoy City, died Saturday at Celtic Health Care , Geisinger South in Wilkes Barre after a brief battle with cancer.  He was born in Perth Amboy NJ son of Geraldine "Gerry" Zelasny of Mahanoy City and the late Frank J. "Cotton" Zelasny. He was a 1978 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and was employed as a carpenter with  Big John Contracting of Lattimer.  Michael enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 5 years and companion of 25 years the former Lori Fizel, 2 sisters Diane Gallagher and her husband Kenneth of Park Place,
Karen Uhrie of Delano, a brother Frank of Allentown, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and his canine friend Halo.  Private services will be held from David D.
