Nancy Elaine Moore, 95, of Frackville, passed away Palm Sunday surrounded by her family at home. She was the widow of William R. Moore,who passed away in 2015. Nancy and Bill were married for 67 years. She grew in in Mahanoy City, a daughter of the late Irene Scanlon Cook and James Cook. Her career as a valued employee of the City Shirt Factory spanned 40 years. Although her employment meant a lot to her, family meant much more. She was a loving mother who will be very deeply missed. Her final years weren't easy for Mom due to her long battle with Alzheimer's.
Nancy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Sister, Kathleen Kershetsky and brothers, Gary and James predeceased her. Surviving are children, William M. Moore of Mahanoy City, and Joseph Moore, Frackville. She is also survived by her grandson, Erik Moore and companion, Michele Barcheski, great granddaughter Emilee Moore, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Wednesday morning April 5 at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City, Interment will follow in St. Fidelis Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning at 9 AM until time of Mass. Contributions in Nancy's name to St. Teresa of Calcutta Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. David D.
