Patricia "Patti" Guinan Lucyk, age 70, of Barnesville passed away peacefully Thursday morning.  Born and raised in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of Frank and Patricia Wayland Guinan.  Patti graduated from Mahanoy Area High School and Trinity College, Washington DC.  A professional social counselor, she was last employed at Schuylkill I.U. 29.  An ardent reader, Patti also loved music.  She sang alto as a member of the Schuylkill Chorale Society.  Patti was deeply devoted to her family especially her granddaughters, Lucy and Margaux.  She was preceded in death by her father Frank Guinan. Surviving in addition to her husband, former State Representative Edward J. Lucyk, are her son Matthew Lucyk, Mahanoy City; a daughter Tara Gensler wife of Todd Gensler, Puerto Rico and granddaughters Lucy and Margaux, Puerto Rico; mother, Patricia Wayland Guinan, Mahanoy City; sisters Janet Cunningham, Barnesville and Nancy Guinan, Atlanta GA.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Whalen on Tuesday morning at 11 AM at St. Richard's Church in Barnesville.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 AM until time of Mass.  
The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Patti to the Mahanoy City Public Library or St. Richard's Church Memorial Fund.
