Rita Stephanie Carr, age 72, of Allentown, died Thursday afternoon at ManorCare in Allentown.  Born in Buck Mountain she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Rita (Di Pietro) Motsney.  She was a 1961 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and attended McCann School of Business.   She had been employed with Western Electric and last worked as an executive secretary and retired from AT&T.  A devout catholic he was a member of St. Thomas More RC Church in Allentown where she served as a eucharistic minister. She was an amazing cook and baker and loved children and animals. Survivors include 2 daughters Susan Hahn and Lisa Carr both of Allentown, a son Daniel Carr of Baltiomore MD, sisters Elizabeth Barney of CT, Gloria Fallon and her husband Thomas of Allentown, Cindy Motsney of Barnesville and her fiancee' Paul Schenk, Nancy Butcavage and her husband Jay of S. Carolina, a brother Steve Motsney and his wife Margaret Mary of Beaver Meadows, 3 grandchildren Aaron Blount, Jesse and Shane Hahn, a great grandchild Milani Blount, Neices and nephews Shelley, Josh and Kristen Barney, Thomas Fallon, Erin Alulis, Patti Zale and Kylene Powell.  Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday morning at 10 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. James Carroll at 10:30 AM from St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call at the David D. Jarrett Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM with Parastas at 7 PM and again on Tuesday morning beginning at 9 AM.  David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.
