Rose Marie R. Golden, age 81, formerly of Mahanoy City, died Wednesday evening January 18 at Mifflin Center in Shillington.  Born in Washington DC she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. & Rose (Pinelli) Maggenti.  She was a 1954 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Name in Silver Spring Maryland where she resided as a youth. She traveled with her husband the late Capt. John J. Golden throughout his military career and worked as a clerk typist for the CIA in Washington DC retiring to Mahanoy City in 1973. Her love for children was evident early on through her organizational work with the Enlisted Wives Club MCAAS, Yuma, AZ forming a nursery on site for the wives and their children.  She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City, the Catholic Daughters of America, a former Girl Scout leader and member of the Mahanoy Area Football Boosters, the Frackville Seniors, was the librarian and the former Mahanoy City Catholic School, taught ceramics at Red Ridge Campground where she was known as the "Ceramic Lady" and was also a volunteer for BirthRite of Frackville.  Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and her husband was a brother Francis.  Survivors include a daughter Donna Marie Forster and her husband Daniel of Reading, a son John T. Golden of Huntingdon Valley, a brother Thomas of Laurel MD, a sister Theresa McGrail and her husband Michael of Hagerstown MD, a grandson Timothy John Forster and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM from Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.  Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 AM.  Contributions in her name to BirthRite, 10 N.
