Ruth G. Simmens, age 82, formerly of Mahanoy City and St. Clair, died Saturday night at ManorCare of Pottsville.  Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Walter & Freda (DeFrehn) Pritz.  She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and worked for and retired from Rest Haven after many years of service as a housekeeper.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City.  Preceeding her in death were her husband Aldred Simmens, brothers Rev. Donald Pritz, William Pritz, Paul Pritz and sisters Jean Mensinger, Louise Williams and baby Thelma Pritz.  Survivors include one sister Shirley Hillibush of Mahanoy City, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Thursday morning at 11AM from Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City with the Rev. Fred T. Crawford officiating.  Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning beginning at 10 AM. Contributions
