Sarah Irvin Obituary

Sarah K. Sally" Irvin, age 79, of Mahanoy City, died August 4, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Sioux Falls SD she was the daughter of the late Rev. William O. and Rebecca (Burge) Mayer Jr. . She had been employed for many years at M & T Bank in Mahanoy City and after her retirement she worked in the pro shop at Mountain Valley Golf Course. She was preceded in death by her son Albert J. "AJ" Irvin Jr. Survivors include a brother Louis W. Mayer and his wife Joy of Emery SD as well as nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Contributions in Sally's name may be made to the charity of the donors choice. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.
