Sharon D. Cunningham, age 66, of Freeland, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter Danielle Smith and her husband Eric of Freeland.  Born at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn (Hons) Garber.  She was a 1965 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and had been employed in the local garment industry.  Sharon grew up in Rush Township and resided most of her life in Hazleton and Freeland.  She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Barnesville.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband Leon J Cunningham Sr. in February of this year.  Surviving in addition to her daughter is a son Leon J. Cunningham Jr. and his wife Marcia of Hazleton,    a brother David Garber of Arizona and a sister Holly Pupko and her husband Robert of Quakake, ten grandchildren Leon III (LJ), Rebecca, Jordan, Jared, Christopher, Shania, Elizabeth, Ethan, Caleb and Shane and nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral home of Mahanoy City with Rev. Janet L. Kline officiating.
