Silas L. Sweet Sr.

Mr. Silas L. Sweet Sr., 74, of Delano, joined his wife, siblings and parents in Heaven on March 10.  Born in Barnesville, he was the son of the late John and Violet (Stauffer) Sweet.  He had been retired from the PA Game Commission and was a member  of Faith United Church of Christ in Delano.  He is survived by his daughters Karen Ann Long, Debbie Botham, Jessica Vogel and Dana Sweet and a son Silas L. Sweet Jr., a sister Alice Derr, grandchildren Joshua Walther, Jennifer Goodman, Bonnie Savakinas, Cassandra Lutjen, Samatha Botham, Morgan Sweet, Melanie Valentin, Jayden, Corinne and Sebastian Vogel, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  The Rev.
