Mr. Vincent A. Marcavage Jr., age 85, of Mahanoy City, died Saturday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center in Pottsville. Born in Gilberton he was the son of the late Vincent A. & Helen Lambert Marcavage Sr. He was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and served with the United States Navy. He retired as a construction supervisor from Robbin Concrete of Allentown. He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church of Mahanoy City where he served on the pastoral council, a life member of the West End Fire and Rescue Company and a former member of the Mahanoy City Social Club. Preceding him in death were his wife the former Josephine Sluzalis, a son Mark, a brother Leonard and a sister Lorraine Stoyer. Survivors includ 2 daughters Donna Petri and her husband Michael of Mahanoy City, Patti Yostrum and her husband James of Utah, 7 grandchildren Laura Muldoon, Megan Ferrari, Michael and Michelle Petri, James, Rachel and David Yostrum, 4 great grandchildren Gavin and Grady Muldoon, Aiden Ferrari and Emma Gorski, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Thursday morning at 11 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Siluva Cemetery in Frackville. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning beginning at 9:30 AM. Contributions in Vincent's name to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. David D.
