Virginia A. Thompson Obituary
Virginia A. Thompson, age 91, of Philadelphia, died Sunday morning at Paul's Run Nursing Facility in Philadelphia. Born in Delano she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Anna (Viola) Bones. She attended area schools and had been employed by the Pennsylvania Transportation Commission and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Philadelphia. Preceding her in death were her husband John and a great grandson Christopher Smith, 2 brothers Robert and Charles Bones who was killed in action in WWII, and 3 sisters Ann Zelonis, Adelaide Copeland and Louise Dagostin. Survivors include 2 daughters Florence Smith and Judith Stefencavage and one son John Thompson a brother Joseph Bones and a sister Helen Jones, grandchildren Jerard, Raymond and Susan Stefencavage, Theresa Susco and Rober Smith and great grandchildren Alexandria, Arianna, Alyssa, Cole, and Kyle Stefencavage, Raymond West, Hannah Morrow, Robert Smith, Grace MacDonald and Anthony Susco.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 AM from St. Richard's Church in Barnesville with Rev. Joseph Whalen as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sky View Memorial Park in Hometown. Friends may call and visit with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 AM until time of Mass. David D.
