William G. Wary, age 81, formerly of Mahanoy City, died Monday afternoon at Arden Courts of Allentown.  Born in Gilberton he was the son of the late Thomas B. & Barbara (Ginther) Wary.   He was a 1952 graduate of Mahanoy City High School , a 1960 graduate of Bloomsburg State College and a 1963 graduate of Lehigh University.  He served with the United States Army from 1954-1956 and with the Army reserve until 1963. He had been employed with Lehigh County Public Schools as Director of Special Education and later joined the Bucks County School Staff where he served as Supervisor and Assistant Director to the benefit of exceptional students before retiring in 1989.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing and wood carving for which he had received several awards and was a past president of the Wihelm Schimmel Carving Club. Preceding him in death were a son William Scott Wary, his aunt Margaret Ginther and mother Barbara Wary.  Survivors include his daughter Karen Wary Osman and her husband Thomas of Roxboro NC, daughter in law Patricia LaBonte Wary of Stillwater, PA, 2 grandsons William Austin Wary of Trout Run, PA and Ethan Wary of Lancaster a grand daughter in law Jocelyn Wary of Trout Run, a step great granddaughter Lillian Wilcox also of Trout Run and a great grandson Elijah Scott Wary.  Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.  The Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher will officiate.
